I-35 NEX Lane Closure Notice

WEEKEND CLOSURE

WHAT TO EXPECT:

As part of the I-35 Northeast Expansion Program, the southbound I-35 frontage road at Rittiman Road will be closed for drainage work.

The closure is scheduled from 11 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, 2024, until 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4, 2024 (24 hours a day), weather permitting. This is a weekend closure, and the frontage road is expected to remain closed for the full duration.

DETOUR INFORMATION:

Travelers on the southbound I-35 frontage road at Rittiman Road and on eastbound Rittiman Road going to southbound I-35 will follow detour signs to turn through the signalized Rittiman Road intersection to the northbound I-35 frontage road, through the turnaround at Eisenhauer Road, and use the entrance ramp between Eisenhauer Road and Rittiman Road to enter the I-35 mainlanes.

Travelers on westbound Rittiman Road going to southbound I-35 will follow detour signs to the northbound I-35 frontage road, through the turnaround at Eisenhauer Road, and use the entrance ramp between Eisenhauer Road and Rittiman Road to enter the I-35 mainlanes.

Note: All closures are weather permitting and subject to change.
