NEW PERMANENT RAMP OPENING

Loop 1604 Westbound Entrance Ramp from Babcock Road
 WHAT TO EXPECT
As part of the Loop 1604 North Expansion Project, TxDOT will be opening a new, permanent entrance ramp for travelers entering Loop 1604 westbound (WB) mainlanes from Babcock Road, just west of the existing entrance ramp. As part of the new ramp opening, the following closures will take place for striping operations:
- Loop 1604 WB right two travel lanes from Babcock Road to Kyle Seale Parkway (left travel lane will be open)
- Loop 1604 WB frontage road left lane from Babcock Road to Kyle Seale Parkway
Additionally, TxDOT will permanently close the temporary Loop 1604 WB entrance ramp from Babcock Road while simultaneously opening the new, permanent entrance ramp.
The lane closures will begin on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024 at 7 a.m. until 9 p.m., weather permitting.
The new permanent exit ramp in the new location will be open to travelers at the conclusion of the lane closures, by Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024 at 9 p.m.
Travelers will have access to the existing Babcock Road entrance ramp throughout the lane closure time frame. The existing Babcock Road entrance ramp will close permanently while the new, permanent Babcock Road entrance ramp will open simultaneously at the conclusion of the lane closures.
Note: All closures are weather permitting and subject to change.
