 WHAT TO EXPECT
As part of the Loop 1604 North Expansion Project, TxDOT will require closures of the I-10 westbound (WB) collector-distributor at the Loop 1604 interchange, I-10 WB mainlanes two right lanes at the Loop 1604 interchange, I-10 WB frontage road north of Loop 1604, I-10 eastbound (EB) frontage road north of Loop 1604, and the I-10 EB exit ramp south of La Cantera Parkway (Exit 556 B). Additionally, the I-10 WB cloverleaf exit (northeast cloverleaf) to Loop 1604 WB mainlanes and the Loop 1604 EB cloverleaf exit (southeast cloverleaf) to I-10 WB will be closed. These closures will be in place for bridge construction and bent cap placement.
The closures are expected from 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024 until 6 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, 2024 and 9 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, 2024 until 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14, 2024, weather permitting. This is a weekend closure and these lanes are expected to remain closed for the entire duration. Please note these are the minimum closures required for the anticipated work. All closures are subject to change and modification as necessary. Local law enforcement will direct traffic through intersections during this time.
DETOUR INFORMATION
I-10 EB to Loop 1604 EB
All travelers on the I-10 EB mainlanes looking to access Loop 1604 EB will follow signs for Loop 1604 WB. After entering the Loop 1604 WB mainlanes, travelers will exit onto the Loop 1604 WB frontage road. They will then utilize the turnaround at La Cantera Parkway entering the Loop 1604 EB frontage road. They may enter the Loop 1604 EB mainlanes via the first available entrance ramp.
I-10 WB to Loop 1604 WB
All travelers on the I-10 WB mainlanes looking to access Loop 1604 WB will exit at Exit 556 B to the I-10 WB frontage road. They will then take the signalized left turn onto the Loop 1604 WB frontage road, entering the Loop 1604 WB mainlanes after Valero Way.
Loop 1604 EB Mainlanes to I-10 WB
All travelers on the Loop 1604 EB mainlanes looking to access I-10 WB will exit at the Vance Jackson Road exit to the Loop 1604 EB frontage road. They will follow signs toward I-10 EB and enter the I-10 EB frontage road, following it to the UTSA Boulevard turnaround. Travelers will then enter the I-10 WB mainlanes at the first available entrance ramp.
Loop 1604 WB Mainlanes to I-10 WB
All travelers on the Loop 1604 WB frontage road and mainlanes looking to access I-10 WB will enter the Loop 1604 WB mainlanes after Tradesman Drive and follow signs for I-10 EB. Travelers will utilize the cloverleaf bringing them on to the I-10 EB mainlanes, and then exit to the I-10 EB frontage road via Exit 557. Travelers will then utilize the UTSA Boulevard turnaround, entering the I-10 WB mainlanes at the first available entrance ramp.
Note: All closures are weather permitting and subject to change.

Blanco Road Northbound and Southbound Mainlanes from the Loop 1604 Eastbound Frontage Road to HEB/Pet’s Barn Driveway
 WHAT TO EXPECT
As part of the Loop 1604 North Expansion Project, TxDOT will close Blanco Road northbound (NB) and southbound (SB) lanes from the Loop 1604 eastbound frontage road to the driveway at HEB and Pet’s Barn for San Antonio Water System (SAWS) waterline removal.
Both directions will be closed at the same time.
The closure will occur nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., beginning Monday, Oct. 14, 2024, until Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024, weather permitting.
DETOUR INFORMATION
Blanco Road NB
Travelers looking to access Blanco Road NB will turn left on Bitters Road westbound (WB), then right onto Huebner Road NB to access the Loop 1604 EB frontage road back to Blanco Road NB.
Blanco Road SB
Travelers looking to access Blanco Road SB will turn right on Huebner Road SB. Traffic will then turn left onto Bitters Road back to Blanco Road.
Cross Streets (within the closure area) to Blanco Road NB
Travelers looking to access Blanco Road NB from the crosstreets within the closure area will be detoured to head onto Blanco Road SB and follow the detour on Bitters Road specified above.
*Please note - all residents and businesses located along this segment will retain access at all times, the detour is in place for pass-through traffic only.

Loop 1604 Westbound Mainlanes from the Bulverde Road Exit Ramp to the Redland Road Entrance Ramp
 WHAT TO EXPECT
As part of the Loop 1604 North Expansion Project, TxDOT will close the Loop 1604 westbound (WB) mainlanes from the Bulverde Road exit ramp to the Redland Road entrance ramp for overhead sign removal.
The closure will occur for one night only from 9 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, 2024 until 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14, 2024, weather permitting. Please note these are the minimum closures required for the anticipated work. All closures are subject to change and modification as necessary. Local law enforcement will direct traffic through intersections during this time.
DETOUR INFORMATION
Loop 1604 WB Mainlanes
All travelers on the Loop 1604 WB mainlanes will utilize the Bulverde Road exit ramp and continue on the Loop 1604 WB frontage road. Travelers will be able to re-enter the Loop 1604 WB mainlanes via the Redland Road entrance ramp.

US 281 Northbound Frontage Road at the Loop 1604 Interchange
 WHAT TO EXPECT
As part of the Loop 1604 North Expansion Project, TxDOT will close the US 281 northbound (NB) frontage road at the Loop 1604 interchange for bridge construction.
The nightly closures will occur from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14, 2024 through Saturday, Oct. 25, 2024, weather permitting. Please note these are the minimum closures required for the anticipated work. All closures are subject to change and modification as necessary. Local law enforcement will direct traffic through intersections during this time.
DETOUR INFORMATION
All traffic looking to continue on the US 281 NB frontage road through the Loop 1604 interchange will turn onto the Loop 1604 eastbound frontage road and will utilize the turnaround at Gold Canyon Road to access the Loop 1604 westbound (WB) frontage road. From the Loop 1604 WB frontage road, travelers may re-enter the US 281 NB frontage road.
