 WHAT TO EXPECT
As part of the Loop 1604 North Expansion Project, TxDOT will close the Loop 1604 eastbound (EB) mainlanes and the Loop 1604 westbound (WB) mainlanes from the Blanco Road exit ramp to the Blanco Road entrance ramp, and the Blanco Road southbound lanes on top of Loop 1604 for setting girders on the Blanco Road bridge.
The closure will occur nightly beginning 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Friday, July 19, 2024 until Saturday, July 20, 2024, weather permitting. Off-duty officers will direct traffic through intersections, as needed.
DETOUR INFORMATION
Loop 1604 EB mainlanes
Loop 1604 EB mainlane traffic will exit via the Blanco Road exit ramp and continue on the EB frontage road through the intersection of Blanco Road. Traffic can re-enter the Loop 1604 EB mainlanes via the entrance ramp east of Blanco Road.
Loop 1604 WB mainlanes
Loop 1604 WB mainlane traffic will exit via the Blanco Road exit ramp and continue on the WB frontage road through the intersection of Blanco Road. Traffic can re-enter the Loop 1604 WB mainlanes via the entrance ramp west of Blanco Road.
Blanco Road Southbound (SB) / Loop 1604 WB Frontage Road to Blanco Road SB
Traffic traveling on Blanco Road SB will turn right onto the Loop 1604 WB frontage road. Traffic on the Loop 1604 WB frontage road will continue through the Blanco Road intersection. Travelers will continue on the frontage road to turnaround at Huebner Road, then will continue on the the Loop 1604 EB frontage road back to Blanco Road SB.
