SECTION 1B: SALADO

- Continue ROW acquisition and utility relocation.
- Start construction in early May.
SECTION 1C: SALADO TO BELTON
(FM 2484 TO US 190/FM 436)

Lane Closures
- East Amity Rd. is closed from the I-35 northbound frontage road to Rose Ln. until the end of April.
- The I-35 northbound frontage road at Amity Rd. will be closed April 9-24 while the contractor connects the I-35 northbound frontage road intersection approach to the new Amity crossover bridge. Detour signs will be in place.
- The Connell Street exit ramp from US 190 W (first exit after entering US 190 from southbound I-35) has been permanently closed to allow construction of the new flyover connecting I-35 northbound to US 190 W.
- The inside lane of the US 190 W access road from I-35 to Connell Street is closed to allow construction of flyover support columns.
Milestones
- Beams have been set for the I-35 northbound frontage-road bridge over the Lampasas River.
Down the Road
- Continue work on northbound frontage road from Amity Rd. to Loop 121.
- Continue work on southbound frontage road from US 190 to Loop 121.
- Continue work on guard rail on the crossover structures.
- Continue work on intersection approaches to the crossovers.
- Pour bridge deck for Phase 1 portion of the Loop 121 crossover.
- Pour bridge deck for the northbound frontage-road bridge over the Lampasas River.
SECTION 3A-1: TEMPLE TO TROY
(N. LOOP 363 TO N. TROY CITY LIMIT))

- Groundbreaking scheduled for April 5 at 10 a.m.
SECTION 3B: LORENA TO HEWITT
(WOODLAWN RD. TO SUN VALLEY BLVD./FM 2063)

Milestones
- Groundbreaking held March 14 with Congressman Bill Flores, Transportation Commissioner Jeff Austin, State Rep. "Doc" Anderson and a number of city and county officials.

- Begin work on new crossovers and intersections at S. FM 2837, N. FM 2837 and FM 1695.
BRAZOS RIVER BRIDGES (WACO)

- Construction expected to start in late summer 2012.
SECTION 3C: HEWITT TO WACO
(FM 2063/SUN VALLEY BLVD. TO S. LOOP 340)
Milestones
- Construction work completed.
Down the Road
- Continue vegetative establishment and plant maintenance.
SECTION 5A: WACO TO WEST
(N. LOOP 340 TO FM 1858)
Lane Closures
- The Wiggins Rd. crossover is closed for demolition and is expected to be closed for 12-18 months. Tours Rd. (next crossing to the south) and Tokio Rd. (next crossing to the north) are open.
- Main St. in Elm Mott is permanently closed to through traffic at the southbound frontage road.
Milestones
- Beams have been set on the UPRR overpass.
- Beams have been set for the new FM 1858 crossover.
- Opened the new northbound exit ramp to Craven Ave.; closed the old ramp.
- Opened the new southbound entrance ramp from Craven Ave.; closed the old ramp.
- Started the new turnarounds at the Meyers crossing.
Down the Road
- Set retaining wall panels for the FM 1858 crossover.
- Set retaining wall panels and pour bridge deck for the UPRR overpass.
- Continue constructing the northbound frontage road between Wiggins Rd. and FM 1858.
- Switch the southbound mainlane traffic to the new section of the BUS 77 overpass.
- Remove the old Craven Ave. exit and entrance ramps.
- Switch the southbound frontage road traffic to new concrete pavement between Craven Ave. and Meyers Ln.
- Open the new northbound exit ramp to Crest Dr.
- Begin construction on the Craven intersection.
- Begin constructing support columns and caps for new southbound overpasses at BUS 77 and FM 308.
SECTION 5B: WEST TO ABBOTT
(FM 1858/TOKIO RD. TO FM 1304)

Milestones
- Installed retaining walls at Marable St.
- Extended existing box culverts.
- Began placing embankment at County Line Rd.
Down the Road
- Pour caps for the support columns under Marable St. overpass.
- Cut ground for the new southbound frontage road and begin placing road base between Marable St. and County Line Rd.
- Continue utility relocations.
- Pave northbound and southbound detour lanes from 1/2 mi. south of FM 1242 to FM 1304, shifting traffic onto those lanes to begin work on inside section of mainlanes.
- Install retaining walls at County Line Rd. and HCR 3102.
- Continue extending box culverts.
SECTION 5C: ABBOTT TO SOUTH OF HILLSBORO
(FM 1304 TO FM 310)
Milestones
- Poured the southbound Cobb Creek mainlane bridge deck.
- Backfilled pavement edges; began seeding.
Down the Road
- Complete and open new ramps on the northbound side.
- Pour rail for mainlane Cobb Creek bridge.
- Remove the traffic barrier from mainlane shoulders.
- Resume laying asphalt for both the northbound and southbound frontage roads.
- Begin installing permanent pavement markings.
SAFETY REST AREAS (HILL COUNTY)
Milestones
- The embankment for service roads is over 90 percent completed.
Down the Road
- Continue preparing to pour slab for the northbound site.
- Begin work on the southbound-side building.
