 WHAT TO EXPECT
As part of the Loop 1604 North Expansion Project, TxDOT will fully close the Loop 1604 westbound (WB) mainlanes from the Lockhill Selma Road exit ramp to the IH-10
interchange and the Vance Jackson Road northbound (NB) and southbound (SB) lanes on the bridge over Loop 1604 to perform deck pour on the direct connector.
The nightly full closure will occur from 9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, 2024 through 5 a.m. Friday, Feb. 23, 2024, weather permitting. Off-duty officers will direct traffic through intersections, as needed.
*Note* Closures are subject to change. Additional closures may be scheduled along the project corridor.
DETOUR INFORMATION
Loop 1604 WB Mainlanes
WB mainlane travelers will exit via the Lockhill Selma Road exit ramp. Traffic will continue on the WB frontage road through the Lockhill Selma Road, Vance Jackson Road, and IH-10 intersections and can re-enter the WB mainlanes via the entrance ramp west of IH-10.
Loop 1604 WB frontage road to Vance Jackson Road SB
Loop 1604 WB frontage road traffic to Vance Jackson Road SB and Vance Jackson Road SB traffic itself will take the Loop 1604 WB frontage road to turnaround at the IH-10 intersection and continue on the Loop 1604 eastbound (EB) frontage road back to Vance Jackson Road SB.
Loop 1604 EB frontage road to Vance Jackson Road NB
Loop 1604 EB frontage road traffic to Vance Jackson Road NB and Vance Jackson Road NB traffic itself will take the Loop 1604 EB frontage road to utilize the signalized intersection at Lockhill Selma Road to take a left and continue on the Loop 1604 WB frontage road back to Vance Jackson Road NB. The EB to WB turnaround at Lockhill Selma Road is temporarily closed and cannot be used.
