Major Closure Notice

WEEKEND FULL CLOSURE

Friday, Jan. 5, 2024 at 9 p.m. through
Monday, Jan. 8, 2024 at 5 a.m.

• Vance Jackson Road Northbound and Southbound Lanes at the Loop 1604 Bridge

• Loop 1604 Right Lane/Auxiliary Lane from Lockhill Selma Road Entrance Ramp to IH-10 Intersection Exit Ramp

• Loop 1604 Westbound Entrance Ramp from Lockhill Selma Road

WHAT TO EXPECT

As part of the Loop 1604 North Expansion Project, TxDOT will fully close the Vance Jackson Road Northbound (NB) and Southbound (SB) lanes at the bridge over Loop 1604. Additionally the right lane/auxiliary lane closure on the Loop 1604 westbound (WB) mainlanes from the Lockhill Selma exit ramp to the frontage road/IH-10 intersection, and the entrance ramp WB from Lockhill Selma Road will be fully closed for setting steel girders.

The full weekend closure will begin Friday, Jan. 5, 2024 at 9 p.m. through Monday, Jan. 8, 2024 at 5 a.m., weather permitting. 

DETOUR INFORMATION

Loop 1604 WB frontage road to Vance Jackson Road SB
Loop 1604 WB frontage road traffic to Vance Jackson Road SB and Vance Jackson Road SB traffic itself will take the Loop 1604 WB frontage road to turnaround at the IH-10 intersection and continue  on the Loop 1604 eastbound (EB) frontage road back to Vance Jackson Road SB.

Loop 1604 Eastbound (EB) frontage road to Vance Jackson Road NB
Loop 1604 EB frontage road traffic to Vance Jackson Road NB and Vance Jackson Road NB traffic itself will take the Loop 1604 EB frontage road to utilize the turnaround at the Lockhill Selma Road intersection and continue on the WB frontage road back to Vance Jackson Road NB.

Loop 1604 WB frontage road from Lockhill Selma Road 
Loop 1604 WB frontage road traffic from Lockhill Selma Road will continue on the WB frontage road and can enter the Loop 1604 WB mainlanes via the entrance ramp west of IH-10.
