 WHAT TO EXPECT
As part of the Loop 1604 North Expansion Project, TXDOT will require a full closure of the Loop 1604 eastbound (EB) mainlanes from the Vance Jackson Road exit ramp to the entrance ramp east of IH-10, the Loop 1604 EB collector-distributor at the IH-10 interchange, and the Loop 1604 EB frontage road through the IH-10 interchange. In addition, there will be a partial closure of the Loop 1604 westbound (WB) mainlanes through the IH-10 interchange (left lane only) and a full closure of the IH-10 EB frontage road under Loop 1604. These closures will be in place to hang girder lines for the Loop 1604 EB direct connector to IH-10.
The closures are expected to last from 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, 2023 until 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 30, 2023, weather permitting. Local law enforcement will direct traf c through intersections during this time.
DETOUR INFORMATION
Loop 1604 EB mainlanes and frontage road
Traffic traveling on Loop 1604 EB mainlanes looking to continue through the IH-10 interchange will exit to the Loop 1604 EB frontage road just after La Cantera Parkway, towards IH-10 EB. Traffic will follow the frontage road to the IH-10 EB frontage road and utilize the turnaround at UTSA Boulevard to access the IH-10 WB frontage road. Traffic will continue on the IH-10 WB frontage road to re-enter the Loop 1604 EB frontage road. Traffic will be able to enter the Loop 1604 EB mainlanes using the entrance ramp east of IH-10.
IH-10 EB frontage road
Traffic traveling EB on the IH-10 frontage road looking to continue through the Loop 1604 interchange will be directed to travel on the Loop 1604 WB frontage road to the signalized turnaround at La Cantera Parkway. Traffic will then take the Loop 1604 EB frontage road and follow the frontage road exit to IH-10 EB.
