 WHAT TO EXPECT
As part of the Loop 1604 North Expansion Project, TxDOT will require a full closure of the Loop 1604 eastbound (EB) mainlanes from the Vance Jackson Road exit ramp to the Lockhill Selma Road entrance ramp, a closure of the IH-10 westbound (WB) exit ramp/direct connector to Loop 1604 EB mainlanes and a closure of the Loop 1604 EB exit ramp/direct connector to Loop IH-10 EB mainlanes. In addition, the IH-10 EB frontage road under Loop 1604 will be fully closed, the IH-10 EB cloverleaf exit ramp will be fully closed (southwest cloverleaf) to the Loop 1604 EB mainlanes, and a partial closure of the Loop 1604 WB mainlanes through the IH-10 interchange (left lane only). These closures will be in place for construction of the direct connector.
The closures are expected to last from 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6 until 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 9, 2023, weather permitting. Local law enforcement will direct traffic through intersections during this time. Traffic will be unable to use the exit ramp to access EB or westbound (WB) IH-10.
The closure will occur Friday, Oct. 6, 2023 at 9 p.m. through Monday, Oct. 9, 2023 at 5 a.m., weather permitting.
DETOUR INFORMATION
Loop 1604 EB Mainlanes (continuing or exiting to IH-10 EB)
Traffic traveling on the Loop 1604 EB mainlanes will exit at the Vance Jackson Road exit ramp and continue on the Loop 1604 EB frontage road. Traffic continuing on Loop 1604 EB will be able to re-enter the highway at the Lockhill Selma Road entrance ramp. Traffic looking to exit to IH-10 EB will take the frontage road exit leading to IH-10 EB frontage road.
IH-10 WB to Loop 1604 EB
Traffic traveling westbound on IH-10 will take the frontage road exit ramp (just north of UTSA Boulevard) and continue on the frontage road to Loop 1604 EB frontage road. Traffic will be able enter the Loop 1604 EB mainlanes using the Lockhill Selma Road entrance ramp.

Traffic traveling eastbound on the IH-10 frontage road at the Loop 1604 interchange will be directed to travel on the Loop 1604 WB frontage road to the signalized turnaround at La Cantera Parkway. Traffic will then take the Loop 1604 EB frontage road and follow the frontage road exit to IH-10 EB. IH-10 EB mainlane traffic looking to access Loop 1604 EB will be directed take the prior exit to Loop 1604 WB, then proceed on the IH-10 EB frontage road and turn left under IH-10. Travelers will then proceed on the Loop 1604 EB frontage road until the next available entrance ramp.

Lockhill Selma Road underneath Loop 1604 intersection
 WHAT TO EXPECT
As part of the Loop 1604 North Expansion Project, TxDOT will fully close the Lockhill Selma Road at Loop 1604 intersection for storm sewer crossing work.
This closure is expected to last the full weekend from 9 p.m. Friday, October 6, 2023 until 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 9, 2023 until the storm crossing is completed. Off-duty officers will direct traffic through the intersection.

Lockhill Selma Road Northbound (NB) to Loop 1604 WB
Lockhill Selma Road NB traffic looking to access the Loop 1604 WB mainlanes will turn right onto the Loop 1604 eastbound (EB) frontage road and utilize the NW Military Highway u-turn, then continue on the Loop 1604 WB frontage road to access the entrance ramp west of NW Military Highway.
Loop 1604 Westbound to Lockhill Selma Road Southbound
Loop 1604 WB frontage road traffic looking to access Lockhill Selma Road southbound will continue on the Loop 1604 WB frontage road lanes to utilize the Vance Jackson Road u-turn to turn back onto the Loop 1604 EB frontage road lanes. Traffic can then turn right onto Lockhill Selma Road.
