Major Closure Notice
FULL WEEKEND CLOSURE 9 p.m. Friday, July 28 through 5 a.m. Monday, July 31
- Loop 1604 Westbound Mainlanes between Blanco Road Exit Ramp to Blanco Road Entrance Ramp
- Loop 1604 Westbound Mainlanes between NW Military Highway Exit Ramp to NW Military Highway Entrance Ramp
- Loop 1604 Eastbound Mainlanes between the Bitters Road Exit Ramp to the Blanco Road Entrance Ramp
 WHAT TO EXPECT
As part of the Loop 1604 North Expansion Project, TxDOT will fully close the Loop 1604 westbound (WB) mainlanes from the Blanco Road exit ramp to the Blanco Road entrance ramp to perform Blanco Road Bridge demolition and between the NW Military Highway exit ramp and NW Military Highway entrance ramp for a drainage crossing.
Additionally, TxDOT will fully close the Loop 1604 eastbound (EB) mainlanes from the Bitters Road exit ramp to the Blanco Road entrance ramp to perform Blanco Road
Bridge demolition and a drainage crossing between Huebner Road and Blanco Road.
The closures will begin 9 p.m. Friday, July 28, 2023 through 5 a.m. Monday, July 31, 2023, weather permitting.
These lane closures are to remain in place for the entire duration from Friday night to Monday morning.
Local law enforcement will direct traffic as-needed.
DETOUR INFORMATION
Loop 1604 WB Mainlanes:
All traffic looking to travel WB on Loop 1604 will detour to the WB frontage road lanes via the Blanco Road exit ramp east of Blanco Road. Traffic will continue travel on the WB frontage road and re-enter Loop 1604 WB via the entrance ramp west of Blanco Road. Traffic that re-entered Loop 1604 WB mainlanes will be additionally detoured at the NW Military Highway exit ramp and will continue on the WB frontage road to re-enter Loop 1604 WB via the entrance ramp west of NW Military Highway.
Loop 1604 EB Mainlanes:
All traffic looking to travel EB on Loop 1604 will detour to the EB frontage road lanes via the Bitters Road exit ramp west of Bitters Road. Traffic will continue travel on the EB frontage road and re-enter Loop 1604 EB via the entrance ramp east of Blanco Road.
