HR Generalist I:

Performs responsible human resources-related work in a district or the Human Resources Division. Work involves coordinating and communicating sensitive information; and maintaining confidentiality. Work requires contact with management, employees, retirees, health care providers; and state and federal agencies. Employees at this level perform work independently on assignments; however, all unusual issues are referred to the supervisor.

HR Generalist II:

Performs highly complex human resources-related work in a district or the Human Resources Division. Responsible for one or more human resources programs. Work requires reviewing, preparing, and maintaining confidential information. Work requires contact with management, employees, retirees, health care providers; and state and federal agencies. Employees at this level establish their own work plan and priorities to meet set objectives. Issues are rarely referred to the supervisor but are handled at the occurrence.
