webDEALER 26.2 Addendum (05/14/2026 @ 3:50 PM)

Good afternoon,

On the evening of May 16, 2026, the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles
(TxDMV) will update the webDEALER System with Release 26.2 which contains
the content summarized below. 

Enhancements:

•  New ID Requirements for Title Applications with Initial Registration

•  Voluntary Indicator Identifying U.S. Armed Forces Membership as
     Part of the Title & Registration Application Process

•  Automatically unassign dealer plate when License Plate Assignment is processed

•  Enhancement to the ePLATE Carrying Capacity Process

•  Removal and addition of scenarios in the LPA process for ePLATE

•  Enabling provisional license plate assignments for vehicles sold to Exempt entities

•  Duplicate plates added to IMS via VTN
