Over the weekend of July 23, 2022, the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (TxDMV) will update the Registration and Titling System (RTS) with Release 13.0.0 which contains the content summarized below.
Enhancements:
RTS:
• Added Validation of the USDOT Number to Prevent Issuance of a
72-Hour or 144-Hour Permit for Specific Vehicle Types
• Updated Names of Plates on the RTS POS Fees Screen
• New University of Florida (Crossover) Specialty License Plate
• New University of Texas at El Paso (Crossover) Specialty License Plate
• New University of Texas at San Antonio (Vendor) Specialty License Plate
• New Classic Black-Silver (Vendor) Specialty License Plate
• New Texas Parks and Wildlife Roadrunner (State) Specialty License Plate
• New Classic Pink-Silver (Vendor) Specialty License Plate
• New Classic Blue-Silver (Vendor) Specialty License Plate
• New Abilene Christian University (State) Special License Plate
• Added Multiple Address Verification for Vehicles
• Added a Check of the Address on a Dealer's License
• Added Validation of Lienholder Addresses
• Added Verification of Dealer Addresses for Out of County
