Each year, the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (TxDMV) registers more than 24 million vehicles. Texas Transportation Code 502.004 requires TxDMV to collect information on the number of alternatively fueled vehicles registered in the state and to submit an annual report on these findings to the Legislature.
