Texas Governor Greg Abbott declared a disaster for 30 Texas counties in advance of Hurricane Harvey's landfall expected early Saturday morning. The Texas Department of Motor Vehicles has responded by temporarily suspending size and weight restrictions and oversize/overweight permitting requirements for vehicles and loads associated with activities to respond to the disaster.
