DCTA to Update Bus Routes and Schedules in October 2021
Changes Coming for Denton Connect, Lewisville Connect and UNT Campus Shuttles
LEWISVILLE, TX (October 13, 2021) – With the beginning of fall comes Denton County Transportation Authority (DCTA) service changes. Effective Monday, October 25, DCTA will implement minor changes to its bus services to optimize route times and enhance on time performance. The changes better reflect traffic patterns and affect all Denton and Lewisville Connect Bus routes, along with all University of North Texas (UNT) Campus Shuttle routes.
Denton and Lewisville Connect Bus Service Updates
To optimize run times and on-time performance, DCTA is updating all Denton Connect Bus Routes and Lewisville Connect Bus Routes. Below is an overview of key route changes:
- Denton Connect Routes

Routes affected: 3 and 7
- Route 3
- to mitigate traffic issues at Ryan High School.
- Route 7
- to mitigate traffic in west Denton.
- Lewisville Connect Routes

Routes affected: 22
- Route 22
- to the last two runs on weekday schedule.

UNT Campus Shuttles

All UNT Campus Shuttles affected:
- Mean Green (MG 111)
- Mean Green Night Rider (MGNR 116)
- North Texan (NT 121)
- Eagle Point (EP 131)
- Discovery Park (DP 141)
- Discovery Park (DP 143)
- Centre Place (CP 151)
- Bernard Street (BST 161)
- Colorado Express (CE 171)
- Parking Express (A&B)

All UNT Campus Shuttles affected:
- Path for Parking Express (B only) has changed at Apogee to mitigate
concerns about the buses driving on a particular section of the
parking lot.
