JULY 2020

Face coverings required on DCTA vehicles

STARTING TODAY: DCTA to Require Passengers to Wear Face Coverings

All DCTA passengers will be required to wear a face covering on all DCTA buses and trains during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic effective Wednesday, July 1, 2020.  In partnership with local and regional partners, we recommend riders – just like DCTA employees – follow this new face-covering requirement to help combat the spread of COVID-19.

For proper use, face coverings should cover both the mouth and nose. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) provides helpful information about wearing and making face coverings.

We reserve the right to deny service to passengers who decide to not wear a mask while on the agency's transit system. Additionally, local cities that have passed a mask ordinance requirement have the authority to determine how to manage each violation.

Thanks for being our partners in safety to help stop the spread of COVID-19!

No DCTA service on July 4

No DCTA Service on Independence Day

On Saturday, July 4, we will not operate service and our Customer Service Team will not be available in honor of Independence Day. Our administrative office in Lewisville will close on Friday, July 3, in observance of the holiday. All DCTA services and business hours will resume as usual on Monday, July 6.

REMINDER: The Downtown Denton Transit Center (DDTC) is fully closed to the public, but our Customer Service team remains available by phone during normal business hours to answer questions.

The Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) will run on a Sunday schedule on Independence Day. DCTA encourages those who ride DART to sign up for their Rider Alerts to stay informed about any upcoming schedule changes for the upcoming holiday.

Full DDTC Closure

DCTA Fully Closes Downtown Denton Transit Center

In response to the COVID-19 health emergency, last month we fully closed the Downtown Denton Transit Center (DDTC) to the public. Our customer service team remains available by phone to assist passengers with questions at 940.243.0077.

Individuals needing to purchase passes can visit DCTA’s online store, download GoPassSM mobile app available on Apple and Google Play stores or use a Ticket Vending Machines (TVMs) at each DCTA A-train station. DCTA is still accepting cash fare on buses. For more information on purchasing fare, visit our fare page.

Customers will still be able to pick up lost and/or misplaced items with the closure of the DDTC. If an item is located in lost and found based on the description provided over the phone, our customer service team will coordinate with that individual for pickup. For more information, visit our Lost & Found Policy page.
