DCTA A-train Horns to Sound in Lewisville Quiet Zones - Update

Denton County Transportation Authority

A-train Commuter Rail

On April 20th, DCTA began sounding A-train horns in three crossings while the city of Lewisville and DCTA worked to reestablish quiet zones and comply with Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) regulations.

  • Andes Metal (200 Block of South Railroad Street)
  • East Main Street (600 Block of East Main Street)
  • North Mill Street (1500 Block of North Mill Street)

As of May 27th, Andes Metal and East Main Street crossings have resumed normal Quiet Zone procedures.

DCTA will cease sounding the A-train horn in the North Mill Street crossing once FRA approval is received. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause residents and passengers and will send updates on this project to keep people informed.

Thanks for your patience during this time and for your continued support of DCTA!
