DCTA COVID-19 Service Reductions Graphic

We’re Open and Still Operating Service during COVID-19

Last month, we reduced service hours and frequency in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) health emergency. The reduction in service hours was in response to the urgent public guidance from regional leaders, along with emergency health orders to cancel events, close schools and offices, practice “social distancing” and limit social gatherings across Denton County and North Texas. DCTA will continue to operate as the agency is considered an essential business by the Denton County “Stay at Home” declaration.

A-train service now is in operation Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday service remains the same.  Our Denton and Lewisville Connect Bus service operates the same routes with reduced service hours and frequency. Service is in operation Monday through Friday on a modified Saturday schedule, with an additional trip provided in the morning. Saturday service remains the same as the current schedule. Our Access service will be available during the same hours as Lewisville and Denton Connect service.

Passengers can view the most up-to-date schedules at RideDCTA.net. Don’t forget to check out our official COVID-19 web page for all DCTA updates and what we’re doing to keep our riders and employees safe!

The U.S. 2020 Census is Here!

The 2020 census is here, and we want to make sure you’re counted! An accurate census snapshot means that communities across the nation (including Denton County) receive the funding, services and business support they deserve and need. The survey only happens once every 10 years and affects the allocation of funding for our community’s public resources (e.g., roads, hospitals, schools and even public transportation), how we plan for the future and our voice in government. Learn more about the 2020 census and how to submit your survey at 2020census.gov.
