Dallas Water Utilities' Irrigation Workshop - Sat. April 11

Come learn from industry experts how to maintain and perform simple repairs on your irrigation system and discover best practices that lead to a well maintained, efficient irrigation system. This DIY workshop will be offered at two different time slots on Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Richland College’s Sabine Hall Room SH-118 (12800 Abrams Road, Dallas, TX 75243). The workshop will be offered in the morning from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and repeated in the afternoon from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Each session will be followed by hands-on demonstrations and answers to specific questions. Howard Saucier and Montie Koch, licensed irrigators with Dallas Water Utilities will teach you do-it-yourself irrigation system maintenance techniques and will address the most common sprinkler questions and issues, including:
- Proper controller operation and programming
- The proper spacing, installation, and operation of sprinkler heads
- How to maintain, adjust, and replace sprinkler heads
- How to detect and repair leaks in your irrigation system
- Information about drip irrigation conversions
- Information about electrical problems and valve repairs
