Applications for Dallas Park and Recreation Department Summer Camp Scholarships accepted through March 6

 

The Park Department provides scholarships to assist youth ages 5 to 12 to participate in eight weeks of recreation center summer camps.

 

The scholarships are available to Dallas residents only. The application asks for proof of household income, residency, and participation in any other financial assistance programs such as WIC, CHIP, TANF or SNAP.

 

Applications are reviewed and awarded by the Dallas Parks Foundation. Only one scholarship for one child in a family will be given.

 

Summer camp fees are tiered and vary from $30 to $100 a week depending on the recreation centers and their programs. A variety of activities are included in the eight week session: field trips, swimming, sports, social skills building, game of life skills, arts and crafts and other critical and fun learning opportunities.
