City of Dallas Ice Force 1 update
As the snowfall earlier intensified in quantity and set in earlier than expected, City of Dallas Street Department escalated from Scouting Mode to Ice Force 1 at 10 a.m. We continue to operate with 35 sanding trucks and the necessary personnel to cover all designated routes, which include bridges, overpasses and other locations critical to public safety such as hospitals and fire stations. Streets and Trinity Watershed Management will stay at Ice Force 1 level until the weather subsides; expected to be around noon tomorrow.
Other updates:
- City of Dallas Recreation Centers will close at 4 p.m. today and will have a delayed reopening of 10 a.m. tomorrow
