At the top of the leaderboard throughout the competition, when Lightwire Theater’s 1970’s decade challenge was revealed, “We were excited,” said Eleanor Carney, Creator and Executive Director of Lightwire Theater, “we knew this would be a great opportunity to showcase our brand of magic and great music during that decade.”

Lightwire Theater’s “Studio 54” interpretation received a perfect score from all three judges. During the reviews on their final performance, Harry Shum, Jr. declared, “It was an explosive, insane performance,” with TLC’s Chilli adding, “You nailed the 70’s … the things you guys can do with el wire is just amazing.” The weigh in from the studio audience revealed another perfect score of 10 securing the top spot, cash prize and the title of “America’s Best Fakers.” Their initial reaction was one of shock and amazement, “It could have gone either way,” said Ian Carney, Creator, Artistic Director and Choreographer “we are thrilled and honored to be among the extremely talented performance artists featured in truTV’s Fake Off.
