New security measures to begin at Dallas City Hall

Visitors and employees to undergo quick security screenings

Dallas - Enhanced security measures will begin on Tuesday, Nov. 4 at Dallas City Hall. Visitors will now access the building at two ground-level entrances; north (plaza) side lobby or the east lobby (Ervay St.), where they will quickly pass through a security screening within our newly renovated lobby areas.

The same number of pre-arranged visitor parking spots will remain on L1 for “scheduled” visitor parking.   Authorized staff and scheduled visitors will continue to be allowed to park in the City’s underground parking garage and may access City Hall through the L1 green entrance with a quick security screening.

“Offering a safe and secure environment for everyone who comes to Dallas City Hall is a top priority,” said City Manager A.C. Gonzalez. “These measures are intended to enhance the safety of our employees, citizens and elected officials, while continuing to provide public access.”

Employees may use their official City-issued employee ID/access badge to gain access via card access readers through the L1 and L2 entrance doors. Please note the entrance doors on L1 and L2 will remain secure at all times.
