Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings Designates Public Relations
Firm on Interim Basis To Handle Press & Media Activities
Veteran Dallas-based Firm Laurey Peat + Associates previously
worked with Mayor Rawlings and City Officials on “JFK: 50th”
DALLAS – October 6, 2014 – It was announced today that the City of Dallas and Mayor Mike Rawlings has secured Laurey Peat + Associates on an interim basis to serve as the Mayor’s media contact and liaison for various initiatives. The Mayor’s previous Manager of Public Affairs and Communications, Sam Merten, resigned September 16, 2014.
Peat and her firm worked extensively with Mayor Rawlings and city officials on last November’s public commemoration JFK 50th: Honoring the Memory of President John F. Kennedy.
“We hired Laurey Peat and Associates for their vast experience and working knowledge of the media. They have a strong understanding of the Mayor’s office and City Hall operations,” Mayor Rawlings said.
