Fair Park is the largest known visitors' attraction in Texas and is home to 11 of North Texas' top 29 festivals. Annually, Fair Park hosts 800 - 1,200 festivals, sporting events, concerts/musical performances that welcome more than six million visitors.

This 277-acre park has six museums, five performance venues and the legendary Cotton Bowl Stadium. Site of the 1936 Texas Centennial Exposition, Fair Park boasts the world's largest collection of 1930s exhibition-style Art Deco architecture.

5 p.m. - Festivities begin with Chaz Marie
9:30 p.m. - Fireworks extravaganza begins

The City of Dallas, Friends of Fair Park and the State Fair of Texas invite everyone to celebrate America with a day of family fun at Fair Park Fourth. The festivities will include music throughout the evening by Chaz Marie, Songbird Jones, and the Dallas Wind Symphony. For the third consecutive year, WFAA will telecast the event from the Cotton Bowl.

Admission is free, and parking is $5 at Fair Park Gates 5, 6, 10, and 11. Cotton Bowl Gates D and E will open at 7 p.m. before the fireworks show, which begins at 9:30 p.m. The spectacular fireworks display is being produced by Pyrotecnico.

Join the City of Dallas and its Park and Recreation Department as we celebrate the 4th of July with the inaugural running of the Dallas 7/4! On-site race registration begins at 6:00 a.m. at the Band Shell.

The event features two unique race distances including a 7k and a 4k. The routes will be decorated with patriotic themes and traverse through historic Fair Park.
