WHO: Al Rendon is a professional photographer and the owner of Rendon Photography & Fine Art, a photographic fine arts gallery located in historic South Town San Antonio.
WHAT: In 1981, internationally recognized photographer Al Rendon received an assignment that changed the content of much of his photography: the Charreada de San Antonio. He photographed the elegant pageantry, the thrilling action, and the colorful crowds of these Mexican rodeos. Dodging moving horses, ropes, and the excited crowds for over 20 years, Rendon has artfully captured the action and excitement of the Charreada for the rest of the world to see. Al Rendon is a professional photographer and the owner of Rendon Photography & Fine Art in San Antonio. With over 30 years of experience, Al Rendon has exhibited internationally and has several books and significant collections.

DETAILS: The Latino Cultural Center is a division of the City of Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs.
Established in 2003, the LCC’s mission is to serve as a regional catalyst for the preservation, development and promotion of Latino and Hispanic arts and culture. The LCC offers a year-round season of programs, including visual arts exhibitions in two galleries and more than 50 dance, theater and music performances annually in the Oak Farms Performance Hall. The LCC’s signature family programs include Target Second Saturdays, the Día de los Muertos Celebration, and the annual Posada. The Center is located at 2600 Live Oak, Dallas, Texas 75204.
