Groundbreaking to be held Thursday for Two Podners Retail Eateries
What: District 7 Councilmember Carolyn R. Davis will host groundbreaking ceremonies for the Two Podners Retail Eatery Outdoor Mall. The new shopping center will contain the prototype store for the new Two Podners Barbeque and Sea Food restaurant. The Two Podners future franchise operations in Texas and the Southwest will be domiciled from this central location.
During peak season the Two Podners Corporation employs nearly 200 people throughout the Metroplex. Originating from the Fair Park / Cotton Bowl community for the past 33 years, Two Podners operates retail and wholesale operations at the Dallas Convention Center and at three locations in DFW Airport/
“This new restaurant will be a tremendous asset for South Dallas and the Fair Park area,” said Councilmember Davis. “Two Podners has been providing great food and quality service to the community for many years and we’re very pleased to see that tradition will continue.”
The 11,000 square-foot Center is expected to open late this year, to coincide with the opening of the 2014 Texas State Fair.
