City of Dallas closures and schedules for Thanksgiving holiday

 

All City facilities will be closed for Thanksgiving Holiday – Thursday, Nov. 28 and City Holiday –Friday, Nov. 29.

 

City offices                              Closed

 

Libraries                                  Closed

 

Parks & Recreation                Closed Nov. 28 & 29 - Recreation Centers & Administrative Offices

Open - Municipal Golf Courses

Closed (Nov. 28) – Tennis Centers & Elm Fork Shooting Range. 

 

Animal Services                      The Administrative offices and the Animal Shelter will close on November 28 & 29.   Field operations will be responding to priority calls through 311 

 

 

3-1-1 Customer Help Line      Customer Service Representatives will be available to take service-related urgent calls such as water main breaks, downed trees/limbs, signal lights out/down, animal control, etc.  Water Customer Service will be closed.  Routine service requests may be input via the web at http://www.dallascityhall.com/services/services.html 

 

Police                                      Administrative offices-Closed

Will operate on normal schedule

 

Dallas Fire Rescue                 Administrative offices-Closed

Will operate on a normal schedule

Municipal Courts                     The Municipal Courts Building at 2014 Main will be closed.  Payments by mail are accepted with postmark dates honored.  Proof or Plea Court will close November 27 - 30. Online payments may be made at www.dallascityhall.com. Full payments and attorney & cash bonds for arrested defendants will be processed 24 hours/7days a week (including holidays) at the Dallas Marshal’s Office, 1600 Chestnut Street, Dallas, Texas 75226.

                                                 

Sanitation                                Thanksgiving Day-- Thursday, November 28 

• No garbage, recycling or brush/bulk trash collections
• THURSDAY customers should place their garbage and recycling out for collection on WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 27
• Transfer Stations, McCommas Bluff Landfill and Sanitation administrative offices and facility drop off areas closed

                                                Friday, November 29 

• Regular garbage and recycling collections resume for FRIDAY customers
• Brush/bulk trash collection will resume for 3^rd Week customers, if needed.
• McCommas Bluff Landfill and the Transfer Stations reopen to the public
• Sanitation administrative offices closed
