Mayor Caraway and Councilmember Atkins join
Cruising for Kids with Sickle Cell Anemia Motorcycle Ride
What: Dallas Mayor Dwaine Caraway and City Council member Tennell Atkins (District 8) will help kick off the Fifth Annual Cruising for Kids with Sickle Cell Anemia Motorcycle Ride. The 40-mile ride, sponsored by the motorcycle clubs of the Dallas Black Firefighters and Dallas Black Police associations, raises money for sickle cell anemia research.
The 40-mile ride starts at Dallas Fire-Rescue’s Training Academy at 5000 Dolphin Road and ends in District 8 at the Chit Chat Club and Restaurant at 7460 S. Westmoreland Road.
When: 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday, June 18.
Line-up begins at 8:30 a.m. The ride ends at 10 a.m. with a check presentation, lunch and fun for the family.
