Howdy, Neighbor!
Dallas Love Field, as you may be aware, is undergoing a major rebranding effort emphasizing innovation and modernization.
The overhaul included renaming our Good Neighbor Program, which you did during the January community meeting, selecting DAL Connect as the way forward. You, our trusted neighbors, have been helping to guide airport developments since the program’s inception in 2012, and arguably, long before then.
We are hard at work in preparation for the Lemmon Avenue Streetscape Celebration, set for April 25. The free event celebrates the culmination of a nearly three-year enhancement project, which included the construction of sidewalks, bicycle paths, landscaping, gateway features, lighting, intersection safety improvements, traffic signals, wayfinding signage, and neighborhood pocket parks.

Thank You for Contributing to TSA Donation Drive
The ongoing partial government shutdown affected over 300 federal workers at Dallas Love Field, who remained unpaid from early February to the end of March. You stepped up to the plate, as you always do, with scores of donations, including nonperishable foods, toiletries, gift cards, and even pet supplies.
Our federal partners extend their heartfelt gratitude to you all for your unwavering generosity. We are moved by such an outpouring of love and support.
Easter Egg Drop at RBD a Success
We thank you for supporting our annual Easter Egg Drop at Dallas Executive Airport (RBD) on March 28. It was a major success as the community turned out to hunt for some 3,000 candy-filled eggs.
“The annual Easter Egg Drop is one of our favorite traditions because it allows us to spark that first bit of aviation curiosity in the next generation,” Department of Aviation Director Patrick Carreno said. “We look forward to welcoming families back for another spectacular community event focused on bringing us all together.”
Paving the Way for Future Airport Executives
Student engagement is part of community engagement, and so we were thrilled to welcome students from the University of Oklahoma on March 27.
The students, representing their campus' Sooner Chapter of American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), met with our Airport Operations, Environmental, and Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) teams to learn about the very important work they do. They also toured the airport, including the airfield.
Career Days and Airport Tours
The Community Engagement team continuously visits local schools and gives students an up-close look at different aviation career paths. The team also hosts students and community members at the airport for behind-the-scenes tours. If you're interested in one of these services for your organization or group, please contact us at .
Always Improving
From rebuilding runways to connecting area sidewalks, there's always something going on at DAL! We've created a spot for you to keep up with ongoing and upcoming capital projects.
