 Construction contract approved for the Trinity Strand Trail Hi Line Span Project
On February 12, the Dallas City Council approved an $8.8 million construction contract to support the Trinity Strand Trail Hi-Line Span Project. The trail infrastructure project includes a new pedestrian bridge at the end of Hi Line Drive in the Design District, and will connect the Circuit Trail and the Katy Trail to the Trinity Strand Trail, further enhancing connectivity within the City’s trail network. A lookout plaza at the new bridge will feature a shade structure, lighting, landscaping, and a public art sculpture. The community input process for the public art component is beginning in April 2025.

 South Dallas/Fair Park Opportunity Fund Human Development Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) Now Available
The SDFPOF Human Development NOFA will close on March 21 for applications for grant funding. Human development grants support new or expanded programs that create measurable improvements in workforce participation, small business growth, health, public safety, and educational outcomes within the SDFPOF service area. These grants are exclusively available to initiatives benefiting SDFPOF service area residents.
