About Park and Recreation Month
Since 1985, America has celebrated July as the nation’s official Park and Recreation Month. This year’s Park and Recreation Month theme — “Where You Belong” — celebrates how Dallas Park and Recreation Department brings communities together with welcoming and inclusive leisure and recreational programs, essential services for all ages and abilities, and safe, accessible places and spaces to build meaningful connections.
Dallas Park and Recreation invites you to visit its parks, recreation centers, athletic facilities, golf courses, community pools, leisure programs for all ages, and family attractions Bahama Beach Water Park, Samuell Farm, and Southern Skates Roller Rink - all year long!
