Join the Latino Cultural Center (LCC) in celebrating a unique blend of art and tradition in our annual exhibition dedicated to the Virgin of Guadalupe, a cultural event observed every December 12th. This year marks a significant milestone as we host the exhibition at the LCC for the first time, offering a new platform to showcase its rich history. The story dates back to 1531 when the Virgin is said to have appeared to Juan Diego on Tepeyac Hill, intertwining indigenous beliefs with the emergence of the Virgin of Guadalupe.
Curated by Jose Vargas since 1992, this exhibition has been a cultural touchstone, previously displayed at respected cultural centers. Join us to witness this celebration of art and tradition that continues to bridge cultural divides and inspire creativity.
Opening Reception: 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023 Exhibition will run through Jan. 5, 2023
Where: 2600 Live Oak St., Dallas, TX 75204 Gallery Hours: Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
