Leave No Trace Activities at Samuell Farm
As a 2023 Leave No Trace Spotlight recipient, Samuell Farm will host conservation events to bring attention to how communities can protect and enjoy the outdoors, collaborating with national environmental organization, Leave No Trace to educate people on how to care for outdoor spaces. Samuell Farm is a 400-acre City of Dallas property and the new home to the Dallas Park and Recreation Department’s award-winning Outdoor Adventures youth and family activities program.

Thursday, March 16, 5:30-7:30PM: Youth Educator Workshop – Do you work with youth in an outdoor setting or simply have a passion for kids and protecting our outdoor spaces? Leave No Trace leaders will lead a 2-hour training to prepare educators to teach the 7 Leave No Trace principles to youth of all ages.
Workshops open to teachers, Scout leaders, recreation center leaders, nonprofits, environmentalists who work with youth or any youth educator. Dinner is provided.

Saturday, March 18, 9AM: Leave No Trace Amazing Race Family Edition - Free. Families will race across Samuell Farm to complete conservation challenges based on the 7 Leave No Trace principles.
It's a family competition like you've never seen before! Families will go head to head in the Leave No Trace Amazing Race Challenge! This free event is part of the Samuell Farm Leave No Trace Spotlight, a multi-day event to bring attention to community conservation, spread education, and inspire involvement for the future.
Compete against other families (up to 5 participants) as you race across Samuell Farm to complete challenges based upon the 7 Leave No Trace principles! Watch out for road blocks and keep your eye on the prize - tickets for the entire family to the upcoming Farm Fest!
