MEDIA CREDENTIAL INFORMATION

MARGARET HUNT HILL BRIDGE CELEBRATIONS

Re: MHH Bridge Events Credentials

Each media organization will be allowed 5 credentials to be used at the Friday, March 2 ticketed event, Saturday, March 3 public event and Sunday, March 4 public event.

Television stations wanting to set up a live truck on the bridge will be allowed on the opposite side of the bridge from where the event space is located (see schematic) but there is limited space due to weight requirements.

- Stations will be allowed 1 truck but since space is limited please get your requests into the Public Information Office as soon as possible. Send your request to: frank.librio@dallascityhall.com

- There are only 6 live truck slots available and if you are granted space you will be provided with a live truck parking pass to get the vehicle on the bridge. NOTE: You will need to print the passes in color.

- Live trucks will be able to enter the bridge from the West side from North Beckley Avenue by showing the officer your parking pass.

- Reporters & Photographers will need to park in one of the event lots and enter the bridge from the West side and go through the security check-in

A representative from your media organization can pick up the credentials from the Public Information Office at Dallas City Hall (1500 Marilla, Dallas, TX 75201) in room 4 E South from 9am – 5pm on Wednesday, Feb. 29 and Thursday, March 1.

- The representative will need to show identification from your media organization or a business card to pick up the credentials
- Out of town media can obtain their credential at the security / media check-in on event days

Attached is a schematic of the event setup, which pinpoints where live trucks can park, and where the media tent, power hook ups, media platform and sound system are located to capture the remarks and musical performances on the VIP stage. **PLEASE DO NOT AIR/BROADCAST OR PUBLISH THE LOGISTICS SCHEMATIC**.

MEDIA SCHEDULE FOR BRIDGE ACCESS:

Friday, March 2:

9am - Media allowed on bridge and live trucks will have access to set up
10am – 11am - Interviews available on the bridge
1. - Bill Hale – TXDOT
  - Dr. Gail Thomas and Lynn McBee – The Trinity Trust
  - Craig Holcomb – The Trinity Commons Foundation
  - Randall White – Bridge-o-Rama
  - Mary Suhm and Jill Jordan – City of Dallas
11am – 2:00pm: b-roll and still photography allowed of set up
7pm – 11pm: Celebration party
8pm – Elected officials arrive
11pm - Live trucks need to leave – you will not be able to leave them set up overnight

Saturday, March 3:

7:00am – Media and live trucks will need to park in the lot located at 340 Singleton Blvd on the West side of the bridge to cover the Trinity River Levee Run
1. 7:45 am: Levee Run Sprint across the bridge
2. 8am – noon: Levee Run 10K & 5K across the bridge
Noon - live trucks will have access to get on the bridge for the remainder of the day (once the runners clear from the Levee Run)
Noon – 9pm: Public celebration events all day
9pm - Live trucks need to leave – you won’t be able to leave them overnight
