Organized by the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA), Family Health & Fitness Day promotes the importance of local parks and recreation in keeping communities healthy. It is celebrated nationally each year on the second Saturday in June.
To celebrate, gather safely with family and friends for a walk in one of Dallas' 397 parks. Or get in shape at a recreation center fitness center. With sunny skies forecast for this weekend, there's nothing better than enjoying a picnic lunch at White Rock Lake or Bachman Lake.
Dallas Park and Recreation has family-friendly activities every day of the year. Find out about the health and wellness opportunities we offer at DallasParks.org.
