TRAFFIC ADVISORY
Saturday, Sept. 14, 2019

Please be advised, a special event permit for the Dallas Heart Walk has been issued for Saturday, September 14. The walk starts at 9 a.m. at Reunion Lawn. Projected attendance is 10,000 people. 

Road closures related to this special event will impact downtown traffic, throughout the Central Business District. Parking is prohibited along all streets listed below 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, September 14.

The following streets will be closed to traffic beginning at 9 a.m. Most streets will close 15 minutes ahead of participants and streets will be reopened as the last participant passes through. All streets pertaining to the walk should be open by 2 p.m. Closures are listed below:

• Hotel Drive – All lanes closed from Reunion Boulevard to Memorial Drive
• Sports Street – All northbound lanes closed from Reunion Boulevard to North Drive
• North Drive – All lanes closed from Sports Street to Hotel Drive
• Memorial Drive – All lanes closed from Hotel Street to northbound Griffin Street
• Griffin Street – All northbound lanes closed from Memorial Drive to Young Street and from Field Street to Commerce Street and all southbound lanes closed from Commerce Street to Young Street
• Young Street – All eastbound lanes closed from Griffin Street to Harwood Street and all westbound lanes closed from Griffin Street to Lamar Street
• Harwood Street – All lanes closed from Young Street to Woodall Rodgers Freeway
• Woodall Rodgers Freeway – All lanes closed from Harwood Street to North Field Street
• Field Street – All lanes closed from Woodall Rodgers Freeway to Munger Street
• Wood Street – All westbound lanes closed from Lamar Street to South Houston Street
• South Houston Street – All lanes closed from Reunion Boulevard West to Young Street
• Reunion Boulevard East – All westbound lanes closed from South Houston Street to Hotel Drive
