 Opening ceremony for Dallas Senior Games will feature Orville Rogers, 101-year-old competitive runner
One thousand adults have registered for this year's Dallas Senior Games, which kicks off tomorrow with an opening ceremony at Fair Park.
Senior Games is an Olympics-styled sports and leisure contest for adults 50 and older. The opening ceremony will feature 5K run and 1K fun walk through Fair Park. Highlighting the event is the grand Parade of Athletes entrance. The ceremony is open to the public.
Senior Games is a multi-sport event that blends the thrill of sports and games competition with fellowship and friendships for adults 50 and older. Athletes compete in 12 competitive sports and 32 leisure events including cycling, swimming, basketball, bowling, tennis, golf, track, cornhole, table tennis, and more. Senior Game competitions will be held at City of Dallas Park and Recreation Department facilities from February 28 - March 10.
