Prior to hiring Chief Hall as Dallas Police
Chief, she made the City aware of an event that occurred almost eight years ago
when she slapped an individual to get away from them following an argument. I
appreciated her honesty and the fact that she voluntarily disclosed this
information. The police were not involved, nor were criminal charges filed.
After discussing the situation with her and the circumstances leading up to
this event, I did not feel that it would impact her ability to be successful as
the Dallas Police Chief. She has my full support and I am excited and
optimistic about the leadership Chief Hall has demonstrated.
