Dallas –Chief Hall recently received approval from the Texas Commission
on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) to take the Texas peace officers certification exam,
and is on track to do so by the end of the year. Following the timely
submission, her application documents have taken two months to review, and were
approved in early November.
Due to Chief Hall not being a peace officer in
the State of Texas, she must go through the lengthy TCOLE process. Since Chief
Hall was hired, she has been addressing the needs of the Dallas Police
Department while also studying for the exam.
City Manager T.C. Broadnax is supportive of
Chief Hall and her efforts to obtain her certification as soon as possible.
Chief Hall is looking forward to completing the exam and wearing the Dallas
Police uniform.
