The crane for the removal of the Robert E. Lee statue arrived at Lee Park shortly after 4 p.m. today. We anticipate it will take approximately three hours to complete the removal process. The art conservator is onsite to confirm the proper handling of the statue. To ensure the safety of both workers and potential crowds, the Dallas Police Department is on site and will provide security during the removal process.
