Councilmember Thomas Announces 2017 Carter vs Kimball High Oak Cliff Superbowl
Dallas,
Texas – District 3 Councilmember Casey Thomas will hold a media event on the
Dallas City Hall Plaza to highlight the historical significance of Carter High
School and Kimball High School coming together for what’s come to be known as
the “Oak Cliff Superbowl.”
The
football game between the two-gained prominence in 1991 when both schools were
fighting for the district championship. The media event will take place
on Friday, September 8 from noon to 1 p.m. at Dallas City Hall Plaza. The principals, football teams and drum lines from
both schools will be in attendance for Friday’s event.
Game
time is 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 9 at Kincaide Stadium. (9191 S. Polk
