Dallas Love Field features art created by youth in Dallas County Juvenile Detention

Art created by youth in Dallas County Juvenile Detention is on exhibit for travelers from around the world to view while passing through Dallas Love Field Airport. The Dallas County Juvenile Department is excited to showcase the artistic talent of its youth on August 4 in partnership with Dallas Love Field Airport in its 100 Year Celebration.

Travelers and visitors to Love Field can view the exhibit until mid-October.

About the Art Program: In the art classes, the paint brush, canvas and paint becomes a pathway to see and experience beauty in life…perhaps a juxtaposition of life of these kids. The classes are led by working artists; and for many of the youth, it is their first art experience. Exposure to great programs like the Arts is essential to their view of life. The exhibit commemorates the 2015 grand opening of Couverture Studio in the Dr. Jerome McNeil Detention Center located at 2600 Lone Star Drive, Dallas and as Love Field Airport celebrates 100 years. The Dallas County Juvenile Department strives to put “Youth First” in each decision made.
