Animal Care Services, Director candidate meet and greet to be held Thursday, August 3rd

Candidates interviewing for Director of Animal Care Services will be available for a citizen meet and greet during two separate sessions.  The first session will be held in the morning from 8am to 12pm.  The second session will be held from 1pm to 5pm. Citizens are asked to RSVP for either the morning or afternoon session using the link in the attached flyer.  

The meet and greet will be held at the J. Erik Jonsson Central Library located at 1515 Young St., Dallas, TX 75201.

Also on Thursday, the candidates will participate in panel interviews with internal stakeholders as well as with partners within the community, including members of the Animal Advisory Commission.

The official list of candidates interviewing for the Animal Care Services Director is:

•    Frank Boldoe, Former Director of Operations in the Animal Care section of  Denver’s Environmental Services Dept.
•    Barbara Hobbs, Dallas Police Department, Major – Interim Manager of Dallas Animal Care Services
•    Edward Jamison, Chief Animal Control Officer – City of Cleveland
•    Ryan Rogers, Executive Assistant Director II - City of Dallas Department of Court and Detention Services
•    Clinton Thacker, Director of Davis County UT Animal Care and Control

•  **James Bacon, National Account Manager with Allied Universal**

 

Nadia Chandler-Hardy, Chief of Community Services will determine next steps after the interview process is concluded on Thursday.  Second steps may include a follow-up interview for finalist which is tentatively scheduled for August 10th.
