New City public service video promotes positive police interaction
Dallas – The City of Dallas has released a public service video addressing the fear many people feel when pulled over by the police. The video, #BlueAndYou, is part of a campaign called The Real Flip Side. It shows the perspective of the citizen, then “flips” to show the “side” of the police officer.
The Real Flip Side campaign is a series of informational videos that show the realities and fears that exist in the minds of both citizens and various public servants, while providing safety tips to make these interactions positive.

Material for the Public Information Office campaign, was developed with the cooperation of the Dallas Police Department, with input from community stakeholders, the religious community and concerned citizens. The City of Dallas is sensitive to the fear and rhetoric in our community and across the country. The City’s hope is that the video depictions will help spark open and honest discussion about this important issue.
