Amazon expands North Texas operations unit in Dallas
Technology giant Amazon has more than doubled its offices in Dallas at the Galleria Towers, renting an additional 100,000 sq. ft. of space at 13155 Noel Road. Goldman Sachs inks big deal in one of downtown Dallas' tallest towers
To help recruit young professionals to its workforce, international finance powerhouse Goldman Sachs will consolidate its regional offices in the Trammell Crow Center downtown. A new mixed-use project is set to transform Deep Ellum and embrace its history. The Epic, adjacent to Central Expressway at Elm St. and Good-Latimer Expy., will incorporate the historic Union Bankers Building as a boutique hotel, surrounded by new multi-family and office development. New construction a cause to celebrate in Dallas' Jubilee Park
The Jubilee Park neighborhood, southeast of downtown Dallas, will see 26 new houses added by this summer, in the largest new residential construction project for the area in decades. More apartments and restaurants coming at West Dallas’ Trinity Groves
With the upcoming completion of the first mixed-use phase at Trinity Groves, developer Columbus Realty is set to begin a second block of apartments and retail. Southern Dallas distribution hub on the way for Discount Tire
Discount Tire, the national automotive retailer, will build a new warehouse on Bonnie View Rd. in southern Dallas. City Unemployment Rate Rises with Labor Force Increase

- The preliminary City of Dallas unemployment rate as reported by the Texas
Workforce Commission for February 2017 increased
to 4.5 percent. The rate reflects a 4,129 person increase in the size of
the city's labor force with a 1,937 person increase in the number of
employed Dallas residents.
- February was the 24th consecutive month that the reported
unemployment rate within the City of Dallas has outperformed the state's
unemployment rate.
