NFL's Michael Crabtree brings football camp to Cotton Bowl June 11

Dallas Park and Recreation joins with Oakland Raiders wide receiver to host 1,000 aspiring athletes at  interactive mini-camp

Camp

WHAT:      

More than 1,000 youth will refine their game skills with help from Crabtree, current and former NFL pros, and certified coaches. Aspiring athletes will get an in-depth look at the rewards and challenges of being a professional athlete.

 

 

WHEN:       Saturday, June 11              8 am – 2 pm

WHERE:    Cotton Bowl Stadium at Fair Park    

 

WHO: 

  • Youth ages 7 -17
  •  Michael Crabtree, NFL wide receiver 
  •  NFL players invited to participate:
  1. Amari Cooper, Latavius Murray, Taiwan Jones and Seth Roberts – Oakland Raiders
  2. Danny Amendola – New England Patriots
  3. Tony Jerod-Eddie - San Francisco 49ers
  4. Perrish Cox -Tennessee Titans
  5. Von Miller and Cyrus Gray – Denver Broncos
  6. Teddy Ginn, Jr. - Carolina Panthers
  7. DaMontre Moore – Miami Dolphins
  8. Ricky Jean-Francois – Washington Redskins

Michael Crabtree

 

Dallas native and David W. Carter High School graduate. At Carter, he played basketball, ran track and quarterbacked the football team. He entered the NFL in 2009 after playing for Texas Tech University Red Raiders.

 

Team sports build character and well-structured camps like this one give our young people a wonderful opportunity to learn how to succeed in all areas of their lives. The NFL pros and coaches give real-life examples of how to be courteous when you win or lose, make the right decision in demanding conditions, and work as a team in a fast-paced circumstances.”
