TGI Fridays moves corporate office to "fun" space in Dallas
TGI Fridays has moved its corporate office to "a more fun, collaborative work space" in the Interchange Office Center at 19111 North Dallas Parkway. Company spokesman Quinton Crenshaw noted that "Our new space is completely in line with our brand's new look and feel - and mission to provide a fun, social experience for our guests and team members." In a lengthy profile of the world's best cities for millennials, London newspaper The Guardian lists Dallas as one of the "hottest spots for a good life." It states that Dallas is the 3rd fastest growing city in the U.S., with 25% of its population in the millennial age bracket, "unusually high for an American city." Love Field area boom will bring first new office project there in decades
Developer KDC is set to begin construction on the first office building to be built near Dallas Love Field in almost three decades. The new building is part of a $200 million mixed-use West Love development under construction on Mockingbird Lane. An analysis of the growth of women-owned businesses in the U.S.' 25 largest cities noted Dallas had the fifth highest five-year growth rate, growing by 58%, compared to the national average of 27%. Dallas-based Hari Mari has had its footwear selected by The Gap for distribution at its top-tier stores as part of the company's increased focus on socially responsive products. Bottling firm leases major warehouse in I-20 corridor in southwest Dallas
One of the largest producers of private-label bottled water and other beverages, Niagara Bottling, has leased a 630,000 square foot building in southern Dallas' Mountain Creek industrial park. The building will be used by Niagara Bottling as a regional distribution center, and represents a significant expansion for the company, which already has a large facility in the same area. Sphinx Development Corp. is building a 49-unit townhome project to target homebuyers who want to be close to downtown Dallas. - Home prices in the Dallas-Plano-Irving Metropolitan Division increased 1.1 percent in the fourth quarter of 2015. Over the same time period home prices for the entire U.S. rose 1.4 percent.
