City Hall Plaza looks spook-tacular for Boo-Vie Bash
Dallas Park & Recreation invites you to Halloween carnival on City Hall Plaza
(Dallas)- Have you seen City Hall Plaza this morning? Some say the Great Pumpkin visited overnight, giving the Plaza some seasonal flair. The installation is all in preparation for Boo-Vie Bash, which is this Sat., Oct. 24 from 4-9 p.m. at City Hall Plaza. Residents can enjoy free family-friendly activities, food trucks, a pumpkin patch, giveaways and an outdoor movie under the stars. The event will continue rain or shine.
“We wanted to create a fun and inviting scene for Boo-Vie Bash,” said Jennifer McRorey, Dallas Park and Recreation Assistant Director. “We believe this seasonal art installation is the perfect addition to the Plaza and we hope citizens will come out and enjoy it during the event.”
The installation includes an interactive component that allows residents to take pictures in 8-by-8 feet pumpkin shaped photo balls. Residents are encouraged to share their photos on social media using hashtag #DPARDBooVie.
The art installation also includes approximately 600 plastic floating pumpkins and 1000 plastic floating leaves. It will be up for 30 days so residents can enjoy it all season. Boo-Vie Bash is sponsored by the Dallas Park and Recreation Department.
